Who teaches what, and when

Cailin opened Cantabile so that children and adults in Rutland could sing in the same building. She conducts all three choirs and teaches voice on Monday evening and Wednesday afternoon. Every lesson starts with easy breathing and a warm-up, and every student sings a song they already know.

Mimi plays the piano at every choir rehearsal and teaches voice to children from five to eleven. She leads the Saturday singing class, where children learn songs by ear, with a grown-up waiting on the bench outside.

Jordy teaches teens, and helps them find songs for school musicals and learn to sing them in front of people. He is at Cantabile on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, on Friday and on Saturday morning.

Lavanya teaches adults, from people who have never sung in front of anyone to people who sing in a community group. She picks folk and classical songs with each student, and is here on Tuesday evening, Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning.
